Rory McIlroy managed to salvage something of a lost year earlier this morning by draining a clutch putt in the final hole of the Australian Open to pip home favorite Adam Scott by a single shot to win the tournament. Scott bogeyed the final hole to offer McIlroy a chance and he duly took it.
