When Dustin Johnson stepped onto the 18th green at Chambers Bay on Sunday night, it seemed at the very least he would be heading for an 18-hole playoff with Jordan Spieth on Monday.
Instead, he three-putted to blow the US Open.
It really was cruel on Johnson, he barely touched his eagle putt to win the tournament but the ball just kept rolling past the hole.
It left him with a four-foot putt to force a playoff. He missed that also and 21-year-old Spieth won the second major of his career.
It's not as if it was simply handed to Spieth though. His approach shot on the 18th which lead to a birdie was magnificent.

Prepare yourself for plenty of Spieth Grand Slam talk between now and The Open.
