The never ending saga of the LIV Tour vs the PGA Tour continues to rumble on, and will only gather further steam as we head deeper into US Open week.
Press-conferences have been breeding grounds for controversial and hard-hitting responses from both LIV Golf and PGA Tour players, and answers from Brooks Koepka and Jon Rahm showed the different effects that LIV Golf is having on the PGA Tour pros.

When asked about joining LIV, the Spaniard Rahm gave a detailed and eloquent response, outlining some of the reasons why he is not interested in joining the Saudi-backed tour.
"I do see the appeal that other people see towards the LIV Golf. I do see some of the, how do I put this delicately, points or argument they can make as to why they prefer it. To be honest part of the format is not really appealing to me. Shotgun, three days is not a golf tournament to me, (and) no cut.
"It's that simple. I want to play against the best in the world, in a format that's been going on for hundreds of years. That's what I want to see. And ye money is great, but Kelly (his wife) and I when this first thing happened we started talking about it and we were like 'would our lifestyle change if I got 400 million', no it would not change one bit. Truth be told I could retire now with what I've made and live a very happy life and not play golf again."
He continued to speak for longer in what it his second language, and rightly received heaps of praise for his answer, and for commenting on the fact that many professional golfers do not need extra and obscene cash which Liv Golf offers.

Meanwhile, Brooks Koepka gave a completely different response but one that was just as understandable. The constant LIV Golf questions have clearly been irritating the often outspoken Koepka, and his frustrations boiled over a US Open press-conference where he let his feelings be known.
“I don't understand. I'm trying to focus on the US Open, man. I legitimately don't get it. I'm tired of the conversations. I'm tired of all this stuff. Like I said, y'all are throwing a black cloud on the US Open. I think that sucks. I actually do feel bad for them for once because it's a shit situation. We're here to play, and you are talking about an event that happened last week.”

It seems both players just want to focus on the PGA Tour, and the answers from both men make sense.
However, there is the argument that perhaps players of their stature, Rahm the defending US Open champion and Koepka a two time US Open winner, should be taking a harsher stance on the Saudi element of LIV Golf.
This would in turn lead to more questions and more controversy, something which they are clearly looking to avoid.
