Five years after winning his last PGA Tour event, Tiger Woods has claimed the 2018 Tour Championship in outstanding style tonight.
Coming into the final day with a three-shot lead over Rory McIlroy, the Irish golfer's chances quickly faded as Woods demonstrated some of the form of old.
Never once looking like he was going to shirk the lead and crumble under the pressure, Woods pushed out further ahead as a series of potential challengers came and went.
As he approached the final few holes on the Atlanta golf course, it would have taken a serious calamity for his strong lead not to prove enough.
However, no such outcome ever looked remotely likely.
As a result, Woods was afforded the opportunity of carrying out the final few holes of the round amid raucous support from fans who could scarcely believe their luck.
Finishing up on the 18th, what appeared to be everyone at the course had amassed around the green just waiting for him to putt his final shot.
Amid cheers of 'Tiger, Tiger, Tiger', Woods finished with aplomb to a deafening roar.

As was said in commentary; "The golfing world goes back to normal."
They weren't the only ones joyous at what was unfurling before them, and the sheer excellence with which Woods was performing.

This birdie on the 13th was enough to put Woods five shots clear, and demonstrated the kind of mood Woods was in.
