Clutch.
Vintage Tiger Woods, back to his best to claim the 2019 Masters at Augusta.
11 years since his last major, it was 14 since last Masters. It was written in the stars. The red top and strut were back. Woods worked wonders.
The gravity of his fall has been surpassed by the rise. At one point he endured a winless streak of 107 weeks, he was once 1,199th in the World and endured four back surgeries. Yet here he stood, on the 18th hole, smoking a drive so fine it may as well have been scripted.
Except you can't script this, at least not without being accused of exaggeration.
He closed out the front nine with a pin-point putt to move one within the lead.
The challengers slowly wilted. Francesco Molinari found water on the 15th, Tony Finau skewed his putt on the 16th. Brooks Koepka floundered on the 18th.

All the while, with absolute mastery, Tiger managed to birdie the 15th. He followed it up with a pin-perfect drive on the 17th to par. On the 18th, the crowd roared and he soared.
Leeway was granted, two putts from 14 feet were all it took. He duly delivered and finished on -13.
The emotion was evident. Never in his career has Woods celebrated a victory like this. Boy, was it well deserved.
History in the making. ?
