Tiger's In Pain, Requires Your Sympathy

Tiger Woods finished tied for 2nd, just a shot behind eventual winner Adam Scott, in The Barclays at Liberty National Golf Course in New Jersey yesterday.

Tiger looked visibly in pain as he took a tee-shot on the 13th, a hole on which he would card a bogey. Woods dropped to his knees in pain after the shot which veered far to the left of the green and into the water.

He had been suffering with a back injury all through the tournament and is now unsure if he will play in the Deutchse Bank Championship next week.

If someone was cynical they could speculate that Tiger was exaggerating the pain which he was suffering to gain sympathy and even more plaudits for his improved play this year.

That's if someone was cynical, of course.
