The sports power couple had a disappointing few days with Caroline crashing out in the second round at Wimbledon to qualifier Petra Cetkovska in straight sets while Rory missed the cut in the Irish Open with a disappointing +2 finish. The crack team at balls.ie had to investigate this phenomenon, could it be that they pressure of being sports most high profile couple other than John Hayes and his wife (Ireland Women's Rugby International Fiona Steed) is getting to the pair and their tournament performances are being affected?

From our research it looks like Rory's not doing too bad with a major before and a major after they got together but he's definitely had some disappointing results of late from his club crushing meltdown in the US Open to getting trolled by a trash talking robot. But Caroline's had it much worse dropping from 1st to 9th in the world rankings and winning just 3 tournaments in 2 years but these two ridiculously young multi-millionaires (Rory just 24 years old, Caroline just 22) have plenty of time to get their careers back on track and are off to Monaco for some R&R to recover so its hard to feel too bad for them right now.
