As we all know by now, Paul Dunne stands a real chance of winning The Open today but should he emerge victorious, his amateur status means he won't get his hands on the winning prize money.
How much is that prize money? Just £1.1m. Pocket change.
The fee will instead go to whomever finishes second, with Dunne receiving just £500 and a silver medal for being the top amateur. Chances are there'll be countless people who'll win more money betting on Dunne than he'll get for actually bringing home the bacon.
Still though, I doubt the prize money will be on his mind should he win.
