The LIV vs PGA Tour battle has not stirred up too much controversy during the first few days at the Masters, despite the non-stop chatter around the subject heading into the week.

Greg Norman not being invited is looking like a well calculated move by the organisers, while the Masters dinner went by smoothly as well.

After Norman, three time Masters winner Phil Mickelson is the most controversial character involved in the tour - golf wise - and the veteran is teeing it up for the opening two days with Si Woo Kim and Tom Hoge.

For today's round, Kim wore a not so subtle top with the words PGA Tour written all over it, in an obvious dig at Mickelson and the LIV Tour.

While it is amusing from Kim, it was probably not the most advisable move, with most fans and competitors keen to have the coverage focused on the tournament and golf itself, rather than the LIV vs PGA Tour feud.

"It doesn't give you a god given right to go and play well today or this week. It was important that I just got back to my thing and try to play the best golf I can."
