Golf is the most frustrating sport around.
Anybody who has ever picked up a club knows that feeling of trying to put the ball somewhere, only for it to end up in a very different position. Be it off the tee, the fairway, the rough, or the green, there is no worse feeling than messing up what you felt would be a reasonably straightforward shot.
Even the pros can get very frustrated by what happens on the course.
We saw one example last night, with Tyrell Hatton in disbelief after his putt at The Players Championship at Sawgrass somehow managed to avoid dropping into the hole.
The Englishman looked to have rolled in a beautiful birdie putt on the third only for it go just by the hole. His reaction was predicting, largely exclaiming "you've got to be fucking kidding me".
It was absolutely hilarious, with the Sky Sports commentator forced to apologise as a result.
Best bit of commentary I’ve heard on sky 🤣🤣 pic.twitter.com/tu1DCcZgml

While you would imagine that very few people would actually be offended by what Hatton said, broadcasters are required to apologise for such incidents.
There have been numerous examples on the golf course in recent years, with Shane Lowry's passionate outburst at the Ryder Cup last year among the most memorable of them.
A number of viewers certainly enjoyed this fine example of the genre from Tyrell Hatton.
I’ll say it for every tournament he plays in. Tyrell Hatton should be mic’d up for the entire round of golf and put on a special player cam. Whatever you think of him he’s comfortably the most entertaining person on tour. https://t.co/Hy858KPT9q

Hatton is known as one of the more interesting characters on the tour and has been known to wear his heart on his sleeve at times. He is certainly one of the most likely candidates to pull things like this out of the bag on live television.
We're sure it won't be too long before we're treated to another incident such as this in the future.
