The Irish Open gets under way on Thursday at Royal County Down. Ahead of the opening round, a few charity events involving some of the golfers have been held.
One of these was a GAA sports challenge at Bryansford GAA Club on Monday night.
Simon Thornton tried his hand at hurling on the evening and despite both golf and hurling having mutual requirements for strong hand-eye coordination, it did not go well.
This was his excuse.
