As the light faded in Pennsylvania, Shane Lowry's game did not.
Lowry holds a two-shot lead going into the final day of the US Open at Oakmont County Club. Tomorrow, he faces a lengthy day. Due to weather delays, Lowry played both his second round and part of his third round on Saturday.

On Sunday, it's an early start for the Offaly man who still has 22 holes of the tournament to play. For those yet to finish their third round - which includes Shane Lowry is will begin his day on the 15th - play gets underway at 7am.
While happy with his position, the 29-year-old is not getting carried away.
We all know that this course can jump up and bite you in a split second. So yeah, I'm two ahead with 22 holes left. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. These are the best golfers in the world behind me. I have to go out there and do what I've been doing all week. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. This is exactly where you want to be. I've been beating myself up over the last six months trying to get in this position.
I'm here now. I might as well enjoy it while I'm here.
Here's how the leaderboard looks going into the final day.
This was the approach on 12 which put Lowry in position for a tap-in birdie to give himself that two-shot cushion.
Just tap it in. @ShaneLowry takes a two-shot lead. #USOpen https://t.co/2VuOghSbIV

Lowry's lead could have been a shot more were it not for his honesty earlier in the day. On the 16th hole of his second round, he called a penalty on himself after the ball moved as he addressed it for a putt.
