Shane Lowry was one of the stars on opening night of Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods' bold new golf venture Tomorrow's Golf League (TGL) on Tuesday night.
McIlroy and Woods devised TGL as a way to shake up modern golf, with six events to take place in indoor venues across the coming year.
TGL utilises large screens to simulate tee and approach shots, with short-game complexes allowing them to take real putts to finish off each of the 15 holes. Spectators in Florida's SoFi Center were immersed in the action throughout.
With player walk-ons, shot clocks, timeouts, and a whole lot of crowd noise, this was a bold new world for golf. The competition will be played out between six teams, with the Bay Golf Club taking on New York Golf Club on Tuesday night.
Shane Lowry teamed up with Ludvig Aberg and Wyndham Clark for Bay Golf Club, with Xander Schauffele, Rickie Fowler, and Matt Fitzpatrick making up the opposition on a star-studded opening night.

Shane Lowry and his teammates would romp to a 9-2 victory in the first match of TGL, with series founders Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods watching on from the stands.
Lowry and co. had victory wrapped up with five holes to play on the half-visual course, and the Irishman was particularly impressive in this new environment.
The Offaly native even delivered a brilliant one-liner as he thrived in the indoor setting.

As The Bay took a 9-1 lead, Lowry turned to his teammates.
"I knew it, I told ya," said Lowry, "I'm gonna be the Scottie Scheffler of indoor golf!"
He certainly seemed at home in the SoFi Center, but Lowry did admit that his enjoyment had been peppered by some nerves on Tuesday night.
Sharing his thoughts on the new format, Lowry said:
The last time I've had that much fun was probably last September. I think some weeks can be like monotonous and tough, but this is just something different and something fun.
It's quite an intimidating place to play golf because it's somewhere we're not used to.
Fans will not have to wait long for night two of TGL, with the next match set to take place on Tuesday January 14. Tiger Woods could be in action, with his Jupiter Links Golf Club taking on Los Angeles Golf Club (headlined by Tommy Fleetwood, Collin Morikawa and Justin Rose).
Series founders Woods and Rory McIlroy could face off on January 27, when McIlroy's Boston Common Golf takes on the Jupiter Links outfit.
