There as good news for Irish golfer Shane Lowry today with the news that he was reached a career high ranking of 40th in the world. He finished 7th in the Farmers Open last weekend, his highest ever finish stateside.
The ranking puts him ahead of the likes of Webb Simpson, Jason Duffner, Louis Oosthuisen and Tiger Woods. He ranks 15th in Europe and should his rise up the rankings continue, he will challenge for a spot in the next Ryder Cup team.
Rory McIlroy remains top of the ranking ahead of Henrik Stenson and Bubba Watson.
