What would we do without twitter?
I mean, how would we know that we live in a world where two of Ireland's biggest sportspeople - Shane Lowry and Conor McGregor - can unite against a common enemy?
In this case, Lowry is tweeting his support for McGregor in one of his battles - not the impending UFC 196 bout with Nate Diaz - but a much stronger enemy - Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather and McGregor have been exchanging barbs for years, but now Lowry is joining in and picking sides.
Lowry was at the Miami Heat victory over the Phoenix Suns last night and spotted one of McGregor's adversaries opposite him in the crowd.
Hey @TheNotoriousMMA, at the b'ball in Miami tonight and @FloydMayweather is here. You want me to sort him out 👊🏻 pic.twitter.com/sG8qKxcfAd

If there's one man I wouldn't want to face in the octagon/ring - it's Shane Lowry.
