Bo Martin, the caddy of Shane Lowry, was sporting a rather unusual choice of footwear during yesterday's third round of the BMW Championship.
Instead of golf shoes or even regular trainers, Martin had on a brown pair of sandals.
Shane Lowry posted to his twitter, a video from the round with the commentators discussing the choice of footwear.
Lowry also added the caption, 'played so bad on the front 9 I got Jesus on the bag for the back,' in reference to the likeness between Martin's shoes and the ones most associated with Jesus, but also to the fact that he had two very contrasting nines at Wilmington Country Club.
Lowry shot three over par for his front nine, before making it back with three birdies on the back nine for a level par round of 71, which included a satisfying walk-off birdie on 18.

Shane Lowry now finds himself in a tie for 18th on five under par, seven shots behind leader Patrick Cantlay.
More importantly, he lies outside the top 30 in both the regular FedEx Cup standings and the projected standings, with the top 30 qualifying for next week's season ending Tour Championship at the iconic East Lake Golf Club.
Lowry is currently projected to finish 34th in the standings, should everything remain the same, but will need to move within one or two places of the top ten at the BMW, to make the cut for next week's event.
Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy is in a tie for 10th at the BMW, five shots off the lead, but comfortably inside the cut line for next week.
Seamus Power does not look like he will be playing in the Tour Championship, as a disappointing third round of six over par left him near the bottom of the leaderboard.
