Word has spread that British Open winner and Irish/British (depending on the timing) golfer Rory McIlroy could have a court case with his former agents on the horizon.
Sources close to the two parties suggest that the case could come to full trial next year. Should the fiasco elevate to a trial, then it has been touted that it will be a minimum of two weeks.
Currently ranked at number two, the Northern Irishman initiated the confrontation between Dublin firm Horizon Sports Management because of fellow golfer Graeme McDowell being on a better deal than himself.
McIlroy was angered by the 'markedly better' terms offered to McDowell, having received assurances they would be on roughly similar deals.
