Team USA are currently in the midst of a severe Ryder Cup beatdown at the Marco Simone Golf Club in Rome, having lost the opening foursomes session 4-0, while they are tied in the afternoon four-ball matches.
However, despite Europe's best ever start to the tournament, this has not been main source of woe for US fans watching from home.
Since waking up at ungodly hours across the Atlantic Ocean, there has been non-stop complaints over the Ryder Cup coverage in the US, which by all accounts has been embarrassing and nearly hard to fathom.
The NBC owned coverage has chosen not to show a host of shots from both teams - instead there has been commercials and subpar segments - despite the fact that there are only max of four matches on at one time, and in the foursomes there are only two balls per match.
Many viewers have chosen to use a VPN in order to access Sky Sports' coverage, while Barstool Sports' Riggs - of Foreplay Pod fame - shared an intense rant of his that aptly captures the frustration of viewers in the US.

Broadcast already losing track of the first two matches and wasting time on shit like this and being waterboarded with commercials early.

I’d love to be tweeting more about the #golf but I have no idea what’s going on. Quick cuts with zero context. Unwatchable! This is astonishing, even by NBC standards.

One of the most astonishing examples of the ineptness of the coverage was shared on Twitter by @CPowers14.
His clip shows the scoreboard in the bottom right corner display a change of score before showing the actual putt that won the hole. Then, while showing the putt, the top left scoreboard has not changed, and the bottom left score changed back.
You really have to watch the clip below to fully understand the shit-show being served.
CRIMINAL. CANNOT happen . Can’t do it pic.twitter.com/DS6XFqrVwY

The best summation of the entire farce that we have found comes from Reddit user u/sikox, whose exasperated run-down of the coverage you can read below.
"I literally don't think, aside from not showing any shots, that USA network could be doing a worse job with the coverage currently.
-
Commercial break feels like 60% of the time
-
Missing shots from each group all over the place - this started when there were only two groups out so literally zero excuses.
-
Quick/Jump cutting to putts or chips from teams you have missed the last 2 shots from so you have no idea how they wound up where they are
-
Terrible graphics (wtf were they thinking) and build up to each shot
-
Terrible crowd noise and zero suspense
-
Example: Max Homa literally hit a tee shot on the short par 4 (5th?) and I still have zero idea if it wound up in the water or on the island or what happened (they never showed or explained) and then the next shot they showed from the twosome was Harman putting for par to tie the hole. It's a legit disasterclass.
I'm on the East coast and I am going to bed. Not because I am tired, because I could never imagine coverage so awful that I literally wanted to stop watching. I would legitimately give it a 1.5/10 viewing experience."
