Padraig Harrington and Steve Stricker have named their Ryder Cup pairings ahead of today's opening Foursome matches.
The Ryder Cup begins today Whistling Straits and Europe hope to defend the cup they won 3 years ago.
However, Europe come into this Ryder Cup as underdogs once again as Team USA just have a strong team. Eight of the top 10 golfers in the World rankings are playing for Team USA this Ryder Cup.
But the Ryder Cup is also about how you perform as a team and Harrington knows the importance of getting an early lead on Friday and Saturday. In 2018 Europe had a 4 point lead going into the singles and that helped them to a dominant victory. Today's Ryder Cup pairings will set the tone for the weekend.
The US will be very strong in the singles this year with their talented individuals. But it's hard to tell will they get along as a team for the foursomes. If you just have a look at the Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau rivalry you can see that there isn't full harmony in this team. On the other hand, Europe have had a great team spirit before that has helped them to victories. You don't get comebacks like in Medinah with poor team spirit.
On a European style course in Whistling Straits as well it will definitely be interesting how this Ryder Cup turns out.
Ryder Cup Pairings
Friday foursomes
1.05pm: Rahm/Garcia v Spieth/Thomas
1.21pm: Casey/Hovland v Johnson/Morikawa
1.37pm: Fitzpatrick/Westwood v Koepka/Berger

We don't get the Irish dream pairing of McIlroy and Lowry just yet but McIlroy/Poulter will bring a lot of fireworks.
There's lot of intrigue here ahead of what's sure to be a memorable weekend.
European captain Padraig Harrington confirmed that all 12 European players be involved Friday so Irish fans will see Shane Lowry involved in the afternoon fourball sessions.
