Rorymcilroy.com went live yesterday, a week before the Masters. It's an interactive feast and arguably the best website of any athlete in Ireland or Britain. If I had to condense the whole message the site expresses into one sentence, I'd say it's 'Rory McIlroy is just your average celebrity everyman golfer'. But we knew that already - what we didn't know (though we sensed it) is that McIlroy is at home at the gym, pumping iron and admiring his guns. There are a few photos on the site from sweaty gym sessions (none stranger than the one above). It's as if Rory isn't content with just outgolfing Tiger Woods - he wants the world to know he could beat him in an arm wrestling match. I'd pay to watch the latter, though I'll be watching the former with glee this weekend.
