Form Guide
McIlroy carded a first round of 65 (-5) and 67 (-3) to hit the tournament halfway mark at 8-under. Just two shots off leader Rickie Fowler on 10-under. Despite his capitulation in the Masters two months ago, the four-time major champion seems back to his best and completely dialled in, with the only question: whether he can keep it going or not?

Currently ranked at world number three, a win in the US Open would be McIlroy's first major win since 2014 and his second time winning the US Open following his famous victory there in 2011.
Despite his disaster at the Masters, McIlroy finished tied for seventh in the PGA Championship and if not for his own errors could've been higher on the table. Similarly, he finished tied for ninth in the Canadian Open last weekend after he failed to follow up on two amazing rounds on the final day.
Ultimately McIlroy has it in his arsenal to win this tournament, but it all comes down to whether he can deliver a consistent performance on Saturday and Sunday or not.
Shane Lowry and Pádraig Harrington
In other Irish news, Harrington and Lowry are tied for 49th after making the cut by just a single shot. Lowry hit a second-round even par to keep his score at two over while Harrington's second-round 69 was enough to take his score down to two over and make the cut. While they'll be delighted to make the cut they're twelve shots off the lead and well out of the race.
That's all the info you need on Rory McIlroy's tee time and where to watch it.
