One of the tweeters to pose a question was Rory McIlroy. The star of Europe's Ryder Cup win wanted to know if Cave was still the most fiscally prudent member of the Ulster squad.
@BBCSPORTNI @darrencave13 #BBCAskCave are you still the tightest man on the ulster squad?

Cave hit back where it hurt, McIlroy's receipt of free Ulster tickets.
.@McIlroyRory @darrencave13 are you the only millionaire who won't pay for tickets to watch Ulster? #nicewig

The four-time major winner appreciated the retort.
.@BBCSPORTNI @darrencave13 haha touché ????????????????

McIlroy seems to have survived the Ryder Cup celebrations intact.
