Rickie Fowler will wear orange during the final round of The Open at Royal Portrush on Sunday.
It had been reported during the week that the American had been advised by Brooks Koepka's caddy Ricky Elliott - who hails from the Portrush area - that he should not wear orange due to its association with the Orange Order in Northern Ireland.
The 30-year-old started wearing the colour during tournaments while he was in college at Oklahoma State.
"I obviously know the history of Ireland and Northern Ireland," Fowler is quoted as saying by the Golf Channel.
But a few people told me that being not a local, it doesn't necessarily matter as much or it shouldn't.
I'll have traditional Sunday orange.
Fowler goes into the final round on eight-under, eight shots behind leader Shane Lowry. He will tee-off at 1:27pm alongside Justin Rose.
