Big Phil is at it again.
Since the great Seve Ballesteros rescued himself from every hazard known to man - executing shots from car parks that most of us wouldn't come near matching from the middle of the 18th fairway at Augusta - there has been no finer (at least, no more entertaining) exponent of the 'rescue shot' in golf.
He goes into the trees? He lands within the depths of a cavernous bunker? No worries. But what if there is a wall right in front of his ball? Surely even 'Big Phil' isn't getting himself out of this one...

During the robotically efficient Tiger years, the wayward brilliance (not to mention irrepressible charm) of Phil was always a refreshing antidote. The 'Mickelson Flop' became one of the most legendary shots in golf.
