Like a scene from Black Mirror or a corny monster B movie, a swarm of bees caused a significant disturbance on the opening day of the PGA Tour's Mexico Championship.
When Erik van Rooyen was lining up his approach shot on the 10th hole he abruptly hit the deck, while a voice behind him can be heard saying 'bees, bees, bees, bees'.
The rest of his group, which included Francesco Molinari and Chez Reavie, also ran to the side of the fairway and hit the ground, including the cameraman who captured the bizarre footage.
The PGA Tour can now add bees to its list - which incudes alligators and snakes - of on course animal encounters.
Surreal Scenes At PGA Tour Event In Mexico

Masters champion Jon Rahm was the heavy favourite going into the week, looking to defend his title, and again showed why he is such a popular figure, competing for the second time just weeks after securing his second major title.
“I wish I could say one week off was enough,” said Rahm, who lies t14 on four under par, and four shots off the leader Austin Smotherman.
“It was a long Masters and then went right away to RBC (Heritage), so I wish I could have rested a little more, but it is the life we signed up for.
“I probably didn’t help; I celebrated the Masters win on Tuesday, that delayed the recovery a little bit. I think everybody can imagine what it was like. I won’t be speaking of it too much.
“But it’s always good to be able to come to a place like this. This in itself, even though there’s competition, you’re in such a relaxing spot, great resort, great amenities, great food, great people, great weather.
“There’s a lot worse places to be than this one. I’m glad to be back and I’m glad to be in good form this year.
“I’ve only been able to defend the Spanish Open as a professional, so it wouldn’t be the worst thing if I could make the Mexico Open be my next defence.”
