Getting a hole-in-one is the dream for any golfer. Even those who play the sport frequently can only dream of recording an ace, no matter how hard they try. There is quite a bit of luck involved in it.
Of course, you would expect the pros to notch up a few of them over their course of their golfing lives. Even if they are a relatively rarity for player on the tour, they surely would have managed a few when you also include practice rounds and more easy going surroundings.
As a result, their reaction to a hole-in-one probably wouldn't be as joyous as you're average golfer. In saying that, you probably won't ever see one like this again.
PGA Tour star had odd reaction hole-in-one
Mark Hubbard is taking part at the Rocket Mortgage Classic PGA Tour event in Detroit this week, carding a respectable -4 round on the first day to put himself well on course to make the weekend.
It was an up and down round for the American, with the highlight coming on 11th hole.
Hubbard thought he had made a mess of his tee shot on the par-three, throwing his club away in frustration. However, he seemed to misread the flight of the ball in the air, which would bounce on the edge of the green before trickling into the hole. He couldn't even high five his playing partner afterwards out of embarrassment.
You can watch the incident below.
Never a doubt 😂

Certainly one of the stranger hole-in-ones you are likely to see.
Hubbard has recorded eight aces so far in his golfing career, although this one will certainly stand out. Speaking afterwards, he admitted that he was a bit embarrassed by the whole situation.
I mean, honestly, it was pretty embarrassing.
Didn't quite know where the ball was going today. Taking a week off and whatever I just didn't feel as spot on and I think I let go of the club on about three of the last four shots as well and they all ended up OK. I just felt really stuck and I thought it was going to be way right of the green.
I looked up and it was a perfect 1-yard draw.It landed and trickled in like a putt.
Yeah, I think that's probably going to end up being one of my favourite hole-in-ones I ever had just because of the situation.
Tony Finau led the tournament after the first round on -9, with Hubbard inside the top 30.
Regardless of how the remainder of the event plays out, he will certainly remember this moment.
