Paul McGinley has managed to carve out quite the career for himself ever since his time as a player on the European Tour came to an end.
A brilliant golfer in his day, the Dubliner won four times on the European Tour and featured in three consecutive Ryder Cups from 2002-2006. He would come out on the winning side on each of those occasions, even sinking the putt that secured the trophy for Europe in 2002.
In saying that, for many modern viewers he is perhaps better known as a Ryder Cup captain and television analyst.
McGinley would lead Europe to victory in 2014, since then becoming a fixture in Sky Sports' golf coverage. He has quite the gig with the British broadcaster, although it seems that an even bigger job could now be on the table for him.

Paul McGinley offered the chance to land huge TV job
NBC Sports is one of biggest names in golf, with the American broadcaster showing all of the biggest tournaments across the Atlantic.
A spot on their broadcast team has now opened up after the departure of Paul Azinger, whose contract as their lead analyst was not renewed. That has led to a massive opportunity for a certain Irishman.
The Irish Independent are reporting that Paul McGinley will step into the lead analyst role on NBC Sports for the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas at the end of the month. That event will see Tiger Woods return to action for the first time since early in 2023.
It is suggested that should be impress during that tournament and over the weeks that follow, he could be offered the job on a permanent basis.
While Paul McGinley has been a popular part of the coverage on both Sky Sports and the Golf Channel in recent years, this would no doubt be his biggest role to date.
Considering how he has starred during previous jobs, you expect that he could well be offered a permanent position at NBC moving forward.
