As Paul Dunne was finishing up today as the joint leader with Louis Oosthuizen and Jason Day, he must have been pleased. He can't have been as happy as his mother Michelle, who was the first to greet him coming off the course.
The camera was on the Dunnes as this moment was occurring, prompting legendary BBC golf commentator Peter Alliss to comment:
Ah, that must be mom.
Perhaps he likes older women. I don't know but I hope I got the right one.
No, Peter, you were right the first time. Michelle is over with her husband Collie, and other son David and daughter Alison as well as the rest of Greystones golf club cheering on Paul.
