Patrick Reed appeared to misidentify his ball during the third round at the Dubai Desert Classic, after it got stuck in a tree.
It appeared to be an honest mistake, but a number of onlookers on Twitter have been calling him out for cheating.
Towards the end of today's round, Reed drove his ball into a tree, meaning that he would have to identify it or be forced to hit his third back from the tee box.
Using binoculars, Reed claimed to a rules official that he had spotted his ball. However, viewers are positive that the ball went into a different tree.
The rules official agreed with Reed's view of the matter, and the American was allowed a penalty drop beside the tree, before going onto bogey the hole.

“So again, I'm living in reality, I don't know where he's living. If I were in his shoes, I wouldn't expect a hello or a handshake.”
