While many golfers at the latter stages of their career might look to wind down their career and appear at fewer events on the PGA Tour, Pádraig Harrington has no plans to follow that narrative.
Last weekend, the 52-year-old picked up his first win of the year at the Hoag Classic at Newport Beach Country Club and it's safe to say the Dubliner is enjoying his golf at the moment.
Harrington is in Texas this week for the Houston Open and despite steering away from the Champions Tour this time around, he's brought the same energy and confidence.
He's aiming to become the oldest winner on the PGA Tour and book a place at the upcoming Masters.
The three-time major winner left spectators and commentators astonished after one of his shots during the first round .
Pádraig Harrington saves par after playing from his knees
During the opening day at Memorial Park, Harrington shot a level par round of 70, but his pick of the action came on the 16th.
After pulling his drive on the par 5, Pádraig Harrington faced an almost impossible shot from underneath the trees, but it didn't faze him.

He pulled out his five-wood, got down on his knees and produced a wondershot which helped him save par.
Here's his entire 16th hole and it makes for some incredible viewing.
Brandel Chamblee was on co-commentary duties last night and he was certainly impressed with Harrington's spectacular approach.
How many guys would get in there and have some sort of pause. Not this guy.
He never ever wants to stop. He's north of 50 years of age. He's done everything you can nearly do in this game almost.
Possibly the best reaction to the effort came from ESPN's coverage.
After rescuing himself with the incredible second shot, this is how the ESPN commentary team reacted.
It's stayed up. He's got a birdie putt.
Look at this folks. This is incredible from Pádraig Harrington.
It's a pretty big swing too and he hit a little draw with it
I have a feeling a YouTube video on this is coming soon. I also have a feeling there's going to be a whole bunch of people trying that too and it's not going to work nearly as well.
You can here ESPN's full reaction to the effort here.
In true Pádraig Harrington fashion, he took to X after his first round to share his tips from the round and he weighed in on his approach to the wonder shot on the 16th.
Ended up making my par. Use a 5 wood if possible for this as you’re less likely to snag the heel and it takes the shank out of play. #paddysgolftips. https://t.co/pBYV9pKJKI

Harrington sits six shots off leaders Taylor Moore and Wilson Furr heading into the second round, and if his confidence and form is anything to go by, he should be in for a good weekend in Texas.
