Pádraig Harrington has taken a five shot lead over second place Steve Alker, heading into today's final round of the Charles Schwab Championship, as looks to take home the Schwab Cup, which is the Champions Tour equivalent of the Race to Dubai and the FedEx Cup.
To win the overall prize, Harrington must win this week and hope that Alker finishes outside the top five.
En route to a third round of 62, Harrington produced a lovely moment of generosity towards a group of spectators, after asking them politely to move on the 16th tee box.
Harrington asked the fans to move as their shadows were distracting him, but compensated them generously with $100 to spend on beers.
There was a bunch of guys who were sitting in the corner of the grandstand on 16, and the shadows late in the day were just coming across,” Harrington explained.
They were moving. They wouldn’t know, so I needed them to move, which they’d been sitting there I assume all day waiting for this; I hope they were waiting for me all day. I got them to move.
They still got a good view, but I did buy them a beer afterwards.

Although Harrington carries a big lead into today's final round, he explained yesterday why it is perhaps not his most favoured position to be in.
"I've always been a better chaser than leader. We'll go and see tomorrow what happens. I've certainly given myself a few options.
"Five ahead, hopefully I'll go out there and play well and can wave at the crowds, which if it doesn't happen that way, well, we'll have to dig deep and find another way of winning."
