It's golf golf golf in the Forbes' list of the move valuable sports stars of 2015, as Tiger Woods tops the list, ahead of the likes of Phil Mickelson and our own Rory McIlory.
This doesn't equate to how much money each sport star has in their pocket but rather what Forbes calculate their brand to be worth. Therefore Tiger Woods still sits atop. A big new entrant to the top ten this year is Kevin Durant, courtesy of his deal with Nike which could be worth over $100m in the next ten years.
Meanwhile, Lionel Messi drops out of the top ten but his 'nemesis' Cristiano Ronaldo is the only footballer in the top 10, thanks to his brand worth of $16m. Ronaldo is just ahead of Rory McIlory, who is supposedly worth $12m.
Here's the top 10.
- Tiger Woods - $30m
- Phil Mickelson - $28m
- LeBron James - $27m
- Roger Federer - $27m
- MS Dhoni - $21m
- Usain Bolt - $18m
- Kevin Durant - $18m
- Cristiano Ronaldo - $16m
- Rory McIlroy - $12m
- Floyd Mayweather Jr - $11.5m
