Rory McIlroy is finally showing signs of coming back into form.
With his well-documented putting woes, McIlroy has changed putters, taken on a new putting coach - and it seems to be working. And yet, when he can get a chance to not putt - I think he'll take it.
Which brings us to the final hole of his third round at Boston's Deutsche Bank Championship. McIlroy - having been three under for his day and playing well - had 210 yards to the pin for his second shot on a par five.
Because it's McIlroy, he went for the green. It came so close to a remarkable albatross.
Rory McIlroy ... 210 yards ... for albatross ...
Incredible. https://t.co/lZwfDtL46c

It would have been just the 35th Albratross in men's professional golf history.
McIlroy tapped in the eagle and has given himself a chance of contending for the win. He's at nine under, with Paul Casey having a three shot lead at 15 under.
