Rory McIlroy has made it his sole purpose at this Ryder Cup to torment the Yankee yobs who are turning the prestigious tournament into a really bad night at the darts. McIlroy enjoyed a saucy bow to the gallery after an eagle on 16 yesterday, but that was only the beginning of hostilities.
Things have been noticeably tense between McIlroy and the Hazeltine gallery today, and now McIlroy is getting unruly spectators kicked off the course. Near the 7th green in today's afternoon foursome between McIlroy and Thomas Pieters and Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka, McIlroy was allegedly told to 'suck a dick' by one American fan. The same fan allegedly said McIlroy's 'coming up short' was the reason tennis player Caroline Wozniacki 'left his ass'.
McIlroy stopped his march to the eight tee, got in the fan's face and had a word with the man. He then pointed the fan out to a steward, who quickly ejected the fan.
Christine Brennan of USA Today and Kyle Porter of CBS explained the events on Twitter.

Footage has now surfaced of the confrontation.
"Rory McIlroy suck a dick": not words you'd expect to hear at a golf tournament.
McIlroy has turned himself into the European Patrick Reed this weekend. He's been fistpumping like a Junior B All-Star and he's bayed the partisan Yank crowd all afternoon. He was serenaded by middle fingers after his visceral roar which followed his birdie the 9th
His golf, we must add, has been magnificent.
Hopefully god will grant us a McIlroy vs Reed showdown tomorrow. It might be the end of golf as we know it.
