As the tension was starting to build at the business end of The Masters 2017, Matt Kuchar warmed the hearts of everyone watching after hitting an absolutely beautiful hole-in-one.
On the same hole that Shane Lowry hit an ace last year, Kuchar hit the perfect tee-shot and when it landed on the green it looked like it was magnetised towards the cup. There was a high five from playing partner Rory McIlroy, and pretty much every fan around the tee box, but it was a fan closer to the green that had his day made.
After picking up his ball, Kuchar then signed it and picked out a youngster in the crowd who looked absolutely thrilled to have been gifted the hole-in-one ball.
Pure class from Kuchar, one of the most popular golfers on the course today, and with good reason.
The ace moved him to -5 for the tournament, and while with two holes left to play that may not have been enough for him to insert himself into contention for the green jacket, it certainly would have boosted his earnings.
Fair play, Matt Kuchar, that was great to watch.
