Traditionally, Saturday is moving day at the golfing majors. Usually that refers to players shooting a good score and moving up the leaderboard. It's not meant to refer to the wind playing devilish tricks on the players.
With the second round of the Open Championship due to have been completed this morning after torrential rain suspended player yesterday morning, the players had a tough time out on the course this morning.
For two players - leader Dustin Johnson, and defending St. Andrew's Open champion Louis Oosthuizen fell victim to the wind. Oosthuizen in particular had a comical moment when, after a very nice 104 foot putt that left him with 18 inches did this. You know it's bad when Tiger Woods laughs:
Even Dustin Johnson had issues with the wind:
As neither player had marked the ball, both were forced to play the ball as it lay. Johnson ended up making a bogey on that hole, while Oosthuizen was a bit luckier and saved par. Play was suspended after just 30 minutes of play, and the latest is that the second round will resume at 5 pm. The tournament will now have the third round on Sunday, with the final round on Monday. Even the commentators are trying to fill the time until the action gets under way again:
No play before 5 now....

It's no wonder that play was suspended:
