Tony Finau hit an incredibly fortuitous approach to the 16th green during the morning fourballs at the Ryder Cup.
Playing alongside Brooks Koepka in a nailbiting match against Justin Rose and Jon Rahm, Finau hit a remarkable bounce shot that looked destined for the water. The pitch landed square on top of the wooden groins around the water and skipped up onto the green.

However, the reaction from the gathered crowd at the Le Golf National course was striking as they Europeans booed Finau's next shot.

The finish is notoriously tricky at the course, with three of the last four holes having water. The morning round saw Dustin Johnson and Rickie Fowler secure the first win of the day against a misfiring Rory McIlroy paired with Thorbjorn Olesen.
