It has not been the easiest few weeks for Irish golfer Leona Maguire.
The Cavan native struggled through the golf event at the Olympics, ultimately finishing in last place of those who completed all four rounds on a total score of +23.
Maguire would reveal in the aftermath of the event that she had been feeling ill throughout her time in Paris and that she had only persisted in playing due to her pride in representing her country.
She is back in action this weekend at the Women's Open at St. Andrew's. Though her form has been more encouraging than that which she showed at Le Golf National earlier this month, it has still been a tricky enough weekend for the Irishwoman.
At the end of her second round on Friday, she would have a baffling moment on the ninth hole which seemed to sum up the tough few weeks she has had.

Leona Maguire hits baffling shot on final hole of second round at Open
Leona Maguire entered Friday's second round on one-over-par after a tricky first round on Thursday. A more settled round saw her slightly better off approaching the final hole on Friday, as she stood on even par for the day.
Maguire teed off at 10, meaning she would finish her round on the 9th.
Having found the fairway, she would deliver one of the most bizarre second shots we've ever seen, chipping the ball mere feet ahead of her having clearly miscued her connection with the ball.

Maguire would at least save face by managing to scramble for par and finish the day with a 72 to stay on one-over-par for the tournament.
That score puts her nine shots off clubhouse leader Nelly Korda entering the weekend.
Maguire's fellow Irish competitors Stephanie Meadow and Lauren Walsh sit four and five shots further back from Maguire respectively.
