Leona Maguire produced yet another ridiculous Solheim Cup performance as she destroyed new US superstar Rose Zhang 4&3 in Spain.
Playing in the second match of the day, Maguire delivered her third point from five matches this week to get Europe's first point of today's singles at Finca Cortesin.
The Cavan woman made four birdies in her opening six holes but at this point was only one up on Zhang, who earlier this year took Maguire's record for the most time ranked at number one in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
Maguire then birdied the seventh, 10th and 11th holes to move three up, before a seriously impressive eagle two on the 14th hole saw her stretch her lead to four.
After holing that putt Maguire let out a rare show of emotion, aware of the possible importance winning her singles could have come the end of the day.

Leona Maguire reacts to super Solheim Cup performance
She secured victory on the following hole with a par, to win her singles at the Solheim Cup for the second time running, having played a pivotal role in the 2021 competition in Ohio.
"It was just incredible,” a delighted Maguire said afterwards.
"The Irish fans this week have just been phenomenal and it felt like I was playing at home and it was just the energy I needed for today.
"I mean, Suzann (Pettersen - captain) gave me a job this morning. I knew it's going to be tough. It's going be a tough day for the girls but important to get blue on the board early and let's see if they can bring it home.”
