There was some real tension down the stretch on the golf course in Rio.
Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson were tied on 15-under heading into the 72nd hole of the Olympic golf tournament.
Off the tee, both players his less than optimal shots. Both also recovered with second shots which left them in decent positions just short of the green.
Justin Rose is golf's first gold medalist in 112 years. Good for him. Bought into the concept, right from the beginning.

This is where Rose took the advantage. The Englishman hit a superb chip shot to leave him with a short birdie attempt. Stenson's approach left him 23 feet from the cup.
The Swede would three-putt the hole leaving Rose with two putts to win gold. He obliged on the first attempt.
Matt Kuchar finished in the bronze medal position for the US.
Here's that Rose chip shot.
