When Robbie Keane was new to MLS, he wasn't the biggest name in the league, or even the LA Galaxy team, like you could argue he is now. No, before the numerous MLS Cups, MVP awards, and ESPY nominations, Robbie Keane was labelled as just an "unidentified fan" as he posed for a photo beside the undoubtedly more famous David Beckham and Russell Brand at a basketball game.
The internet had a good laugh, but a similar situation has arisen from week 1 of the NFL regarding World #1 golfer Jordan Spieth.
During the first half of the New York Giants vs Dallas Cowboys game at AT&T Stadium, the cameras panned to the VIP boxes to show Tiger Woods, completely ignoring the fact that the best golfer in the World right now, and massive Cowboys fan, Jordan Spieth was sitting beside him.
The picture isn't too clear, but it was notifiable on TV.
He wasn't quite labelled "unidentified fan", but the oversight is quite funny considering how much of a star Spieth has become in the last 12 months.
He's got some way to go to reach Tiger Woods levels of celebrity in fairness, maybe one day Jordan.
