Jordan Spieth is getting himself a reputation for back-nine capitulations on the Sunday of a major.
The two-time Major winner looked on course to win his first Open Championship when he teed off on Sunday afternoon, but things soon took a turn.
Starting the day with a three-shot lead from Matt Kuchar, the duo were level after four holes, with Spieth bogeying three of his opening four holes.
The duo reached the 13th tee on -8 as joint-leaders, two shots clear of the field, when Spieth's tee-shot went well right.

Spieth found his ball on the far side of the dunes on the right side of the fairway, such was the waywardness of his tee-shot. With no sight of the green, he decided to take a drop, but went back to the adjacent driving range to take his third shot.

After wandering in an out of the golf trucks on the driving range, Spieth somehow saw his approach end up just short of the green, despite being over 100 yards right of the fairway.

He was somehow able to get up-and-down to only bogey the hole, while Kuchar missed a birdie putt and ended up parring to lead by a single stoke.
He somehow went on to birdie the following hole despite all that happened minutes earlier. Spieth certainly knows how to make the final day of a major entertaining for the fans.
