The 2023 Horizon Irish Open took place this weekend in at The K Club, with 25-year-old Vincent Normann coming out on top to secure his second professional win.
The tournament certainly provided plenty of excitement for those who descended upon the Kildare course and watched on TV since Thursday.
The final round saw a 90 minute interuption as play was suspended due to heavy rain. This did not deter Normann who's strong momentum continued when the action resumed just after 3pm, the Swede carding a fantastic seven under-par final round of 65 to finish on fourteen under-par.
Shane Lowry shot a four under-par final round to finish in a tie for third.
However it was a day to forget for Rory McIlroy who despite being in contention going into the final eighteen holes of the tournament couldn't deliver his second Irish Open victory as he carded a two over-par round.
How much does Normann earn as the Irish Open 2023 winner?
Normann will pocket €974,605 for winning at The K Club this weekend. A total prize pot of €6 million will be shared among the competitors.
