American Ryder Cup Captain Davis Love III has brought in Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan to his back room team to act as the team's “official advisor and motivator” for this week's event. Jordan, a keen golfer himself has acted as a vice captain in the Presidents Cup before but this will be his most high profiled golfing assignment. He is a massive fan of the Ryder Cup having travelled to the K Club in 2006 for the event. He was also at Celtic Manor two years ago.
The Windy City's favourite sporting son will definitely get the partisan Chicago crowd revved up for what will be a memorable weekend.
Surely he cant do a worse job than Nick Faldo's sidekick DJ Spoony did during the 2008 edition at Valhalla.
