Over the past number of years, Patrick Cantlay has gained a reputation as a golfer who never seems in any sort of rush to finish his round. During the final round of The Masters, his slow play seemed to anger his playing partner Viktor Hovland.

Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka were the final group to tee off  and they were left waiting a number of times during the final day due to Patrick Cantlay's relaxed nature on the course.

This clip of Hovland playing his chip onto the green on the 13th hole, while Cantlay was still strolling up the fairway circulated on social media last night, with many feeling it was a message from the Norweigan to speed his playing partner up.

Viewers of The Masters were quick to voice their opinions on Twitter, slating Cantlay for his unnecessary holding up of action in Augusta.

One man who certainly didn't benefit from the pace of the group ahead of him was Brooks Koepka. The LIV golfer led heading into the final round of The Masters, but after shooting a three-over-par round of 75, he had to settle for a tie of second place.

Speaking after his final round, Koepka said:

Cantlay's antics at The Masters undoubtedly irked a lot of people on the course and he's now gaining a reputation as someone you would want to avoid playing with.
