For the first time in years, Tiger Woods is firmly in contention on the PGA Tour. At 42, the American seems to have resolved previous injury issues and is playing some exceptional golf.
The Valspar Championship has been defined by Woods' form and the crowds have gathered to watch him compete. After a steady start Woods let loose with that famous swing, his driver connecting just right for a 321-yard haul.

He followed that up with his first bogey of the day to drop one off, but there is still quite a bit of golf to be played. It was announced this week that Tigers odd for the season’s first major golf championship at Augusta had shortened and while that seems premature, he is undoubtedly playing the kind of golf that would have him in the hunt.
