Graeme McDowell had to withdraw from a tournament at St. Anne's after losing his clubs in what he called 'the black hole of Charles de Gaulle Airport'.
McDowell flew from Paris to Manchester on Sunday night after playing the French Open. On Monday morning he was still unable to find his clubs.
Terrible time of the year for holiday makers losing bags. I’m certainly not any more important than the next person who has lost a bag, just happens to impact my livelihood this week. Customer service is so frustrating in this case for everyone.

The competition at St. Anne's near Blackpool is a qualifier for The Open. 72 players are due to take part with three spots at Carnoustie later this month up for grabs.
Late last night, McDowell said that he has withdrawn from the qualifier. Asked why he could not simply grab a set of clubs off the rack, McDowell said he felt that he would not be firing on all cylinders if he did so.
He will instead turn his attention to the Irish Open at Ballyliffin where there are also spots at The Open available.
I have officially withdrawn from @TheOpen qualifying tomorrow at St Anne’s Old Links. I cannot give 100% without my own equipment which has been mishandled by @AirFrance and must turn my attention to @DDFIrishOpen this weekend. Thanks for all the support.
