Graeme McDowell has hardly set the world on fire since making the controversial switch to LIV Golf last summer.
The Northern Irishman was part of the field for LIV's inaugural event in London last June, and has drawn ire on several occasions for comments made about the series' place in world golf.
On the course, McDowell has not contributed much of note to the LIV story, with a single top ten individual finish to his name at that inaugural event in London in June of 2022.
It is perhaps that lack of any impressive form which makes the eye-watering sums McDowell is racking up even more ludicrous.

Graeme McDowell passes ludicrous milestone figure of LIV Golf earnings
The latest figures from LIV Golf show that Graeme McDowell has now passed $5 million in earnings since joining the series and resigning his PGA Tour membership last year. He passed the incredible milestone after a 29th place finish at this weekend's event in Jeddah, where he came in nine shots off winner Brooks Koepka.
For context, across McDowell's last six years on the PGA Tour, he earned $5,038,303 - he has virtually matched that in just 16 months with LIV Golf, sitting just shy of that figure at $5,035,059.
McDowell's form has not necessarily been poor as part of LIV - he has only finished one tournament over par this year - it is certainly not anything special, making it even more remarkable that he has racked up such an enormous sum of money.
The last win for "GMac" on the PGA Tour came at 2019's Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship - a year in which he took home a purse of $1,671,523.
LIV's enormous backing from the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund is no secret, but the latest figures of Graeme McDowell's purse put the numbers into some form of perspective.
They also help to understand how so many of the world's best golfers are being tempted to join the Saudi-backed series.
The final LIV Golf event of the year takes place next weekend at Trump National Doral in Miami.
