McDowell was playing Alexander Noren in the WGC Accenture Matchplay. He fully recovered from Noren's vicious attack to beat him on the 20th hole and set up an all-Ireland last 16 tie with Shane Lowry. Lowry easily beat Carl Pettersson today after shocking Rory McIlroy yesterday.
