With his 9th birthday upcoming, Aaron's dad reached out to the European Tour to see if they could help organise some sort of shindig for his golf-fanatic son.
It could be argued that they subsequently outdid themselves.
Aaron's four favourite golfers are Andrew 'Beef' Johnston, Justin Rose, Henrik Stenson and Martin Kaymer, and the four Europeans combined to produce a birthday present the young man will truly never forget.
It began outside Aaron's house, where he and his father waited to be collected en route to a day on the course. Unaware as to who would be their chauffeur, Aaron was naturally elated to see none other than Beef himself rock up in a swanky BMW. A few 'Beef' chants later, Beef answers his phone (hands-free, it should be noted), and agrees to stop off for a mystery guest who needs a lift.
Into the car pops Justin Rose, who might be the nicest man in world sport, and he sits himself down next to young Aaron, who is at this point rather astonished.
But it gets better when Rose announces that he forgot to ask Beef if he could stop off for 'Henrik' on the way to the course. Aware, given how the afternoon has gone so far, that Rose is possibly alluding to the big Swede Stenson, Aaron's eyes nearly pop out of his head.
Sure enough, in hops a claret jug-wielding Stenson, and the boys are off again.
As they arrive at their destination, the imposing figure of Martin Kaymer looms large as Aaron opens the door. In typical German fashion, he's straight down to business, and has Aaron on the putting green preparing for a future playoff with an 'old' Justin Rose.
While it might also manifest itself as a tidy piece of marketing for the BMW PGA, it's more importantly a gesture which should take the heat off Arron's dad for a couple more birthdays at least.
